Privacy Policy

1. Privacy Principles

Fotollary selects photos from a user's photo library for display on home-screen and lock-screen wallpapers and home-screen widgets.

Photo indexing, classification of people, animals and scenes, face detection and grouping, similarity analysis, candidate selection, and smart cropping are performed on the user's device.

The App does not transmit the photos themselves or data generated for photo analysis to our servers or to an external AI server for photo-analysis purposes.

No Fotollary-specific user account is required. We do not require users to register their name, address, telephone number, email address, or similar identifying information to use the App.

2. Photo Library Access

The App uses Android permissions for access to photos and images in order to create wallpaper and widget display candidates and detect newly added or changed photos.

Users may choose all accessible photos or selected folders as the Fotollary photo source.

If required permissions are not granted, some functions such as photo-source selection, automatic indexing, and photo display in wallpapers or widgets may not be available.

3. Photo Analysis Information

The App may generate face locations, facial feature representations, and other photo-analysis information on the user's device in order to identify photos containing people, group photos of the same person, and perform smart cropping.

The App may also generate on-device analysis information for animal detection, scene classification, photo similarity, and other functions necessary for selecting display candidates.

This photo-analysis information is generated and stored only on the user's device. We do not acquire, receive, or store this information on our servers.

The App is not intended to determine the name or other real-world identity of a user or a person shown in a photo from facial features.

4. Information Stored on the Device

The App may store information on the user's device as necessary to provide its functions, including:

• Photo-source and selected-folder settings
• Photo index information and device-local references needed to access indexed photos
• Photo-analysis results relating to faces, person groups, animals, scenes, and similarity
• Information needed for smart cropping and candidate selection
• Recently displayed photos, display counts, and other information used to reduce repetitive display
• Home-screen, lock-screen, and widget display settings
• Rotation interval and other App settings
• Local state needed to determine and display the free-access period and Fotollary Pro entitlement

This is local application data used to provide Fotollary functionality and is not maintained by us as a user-membership database.

5. Purchases Through Google Play

Fotollary Pro subscriptions and subscription management are handled through Google Play billing.

Payment methods, Google Account information, transaction information, and other information required by Google Play are handled by Google according to its own terms and privacy policy.

We do not directly collect or store complete payment-card information through the App. The App may obtain purchase-status information from Google Play in order to determine whether Fotollary Pro is active.

6. Information Received When You Contact Us

If a user contacts us, we may receive the user's email address, the content of the inquiry, and other information voluntarily provided by the user.

We use this information only as necessary to respond to the inquiry, investigate technical issues, provide purchase or subscription support, and otherwise handle the inquiry.

7. Google Analytics

We may use Google Analytics, provided by Google LLC, on the Website to understand use of the Website, improve quality, and analyze technical issues.

Where Google Analytics is used on the Website, information such as pages viewed, technical information relating to the browser, operating system and device, approximate regional information, identifiers used to distinguish sessions, and other information collected by Google Analytics according to its specifications and configuration may be sent to or processed by Google.

We do not use Google Analytics for the purpose of transmitting photos analyzed by Fotollary, facial feature representations, or other photo-analysis information from the App to Google Analytics.

Information processed through Google Analytics is subject to Google's privacy policy and other terms established by Google.

8. Android Permissions and Device Functions

The App uses Android permissions for access to photos and images and device functionality required to set wallpapers in order to provide its features.

Users can review or change permissions granted to Fotollary through Android settings.

9. Information Stored by Mintier

Because Fotollary does not provide its own user account system, we do not maintain a Fotollary membership database.

We also do not collect or store on our servers the photos, facial feature representations, photo index, or other photo-analysis data used by Fotollary for photo analysis and display-candidate selection.

Information received through user inquiries is handled only as necessary for the purposes described above.

Purchase records in Google Play may be retained by Google for periods necessary to provide its services and comply with applicable law.

10. Deletion of Local Data

Users can delete settings, photo-index information, and photo-analysis information stored locally by Fotollary by clearing the App's data through Android settings or by uninstalling the App.

Deleting Fotollary App data does not delete the original photos stored in the user's device photo library.

11. No Sale of User Information

We do not sell information relating to Fotollary users to advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.

However, information may be disclosed where required by law, pursuant to a lawful request from a court or other authorized public body, or where otherwise permitted by applicable law.

12. Minors

If a minor uses the App, the minor should use it with the consent or supervision of a parent or other legal representative where appropriate. In particular, purchases of Fotollary Pro must comply with Google Play requirements and applicable law.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the content or functions of the Services, third-party services we use, or applicable law. If a material change is made, we will provide notice through the App, on the Website, or by another method we consider appropriate.

15. Governing Law and Controlling Language

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of Japan.

If this Privacy Policy is translated into any language other than Japanese, the Japanese version is the controlling version. If there is any inconsistency in meaning or interpretation between a translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
